Requirements and Application Process

The 2022 European Congress of Adapted Physical Activity (EUCAPA) will take place June 9-11, 2022, at the University of Coimbra, Portugal. EUCAPA has relied on the student International Volunteer Program at many past symposia, and we are continuing the tradition in Coimbra. We are seeking 8 graduate students studying adapted physical activity to serve as volunteers during EUCAPA 2022. The volunteers would come a few days early and work around 7 hours per day. Students with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

What we provide to IVP Student Volunteer:

-  Housing in a university dormitory

-  EUCAPA 2022 t-shirts

-  Most meals paid for

- Student Registration without Gala Dinner

- Pocket money provided by EUFAPA Board

-  You are responsible for your own transportation to and from Coimbra.

What you will do:

-  Volunteer responsibilities will include managing presentation rooms, assisting with the registration desk, technical support, helping participants find presentation rooms, guiding participants from hotels to the congress venue and organizing and leading student activities.

-  Willing to arrive in Coimbra June 6 or early in the morning on June 7 and participate in training activities and Pre-Congress Symposium. You will need to stay through June 12 when the symposium ends.

-  And bringing your collaboration, solidarity and sense of humour!

IMPORTANT

-  The documents needs to be signed, must also be filled out on computer and scanned after signed,

-  All documents need to be “zipped” and e-mailed as a “zip-file” that named after with your “SURNAME&Name”

-  The zip-file must be e-mailed to Maria Campos, Ph.D., Coordinator of Organizing Committee EUCAPA 2022, at mjcampos@fcdef.uc.pt

List of Required Documents:

1 – A CV, Europass Format

2 – A motivation letter (400 word limitations)

3 – A reference letter from a professor with signature and contact information

If needed, we will do an interview online.
